The Museum has a number of different fundraising organisations and funds. Each contributes to the running and development of different aspects of the Museum and Library's operation.

RE Museum Foundation |
This charity (No. 295174) was set up in 1987 with the long-term aim of funding the Museum's redevelopment plan, in conjunction with grant bids wherever appropriate.
Between 1987 and 2004 it raised approximately £1.4 million and provided the finances for the following projects:
- Relocation of the Museum from its original site
in Brompton Barracks to its current position in the
Ravelin Building (1987).
- Development of the Courtyard, roofing it, installing a walkway and the creating the Post War Gallery displays (1994-1996).
- Modernising displays in the Victorian Galleries with the assistance of the Designated Challenge Fund (1999-2001).
- Improvements to customer facilities in the Museum entrance area (2002-2005).
The Foundation is currently fundraising for projects detailed on the Development Programmes page.

Endowment Fund |
The Museum has been actively developing an Endowment Fund to assist with future running costs. The initial target was £500,000.

Association of the Friends of the Royal Engineers
Museum (FoREM) |
|
FoREM was established in 1987 to support the Museum. There are around 300 members, many of whom volunteer at the Museum.
FoREM publicise the Museum, sponsor displays, provides
money for the purchase of artefacts, equipment and essential
conservation work. They also assist to fund this web
site.

Bequests |
|
Many people choose to make a bequest to the Museum and Library. These are always
gratefully received and will be put towards the Endowment
Fund and/or day-to-day running costs.
Bequests with the specific terms and conditions may be accepted after consultation with the Museum and Library.
