FoREM Section - FoREM Travel


To rise funds for the Museum FoREM occasionally arranges tours abroad, the focus of which is to light heartedly study an aspect of military history and in particular history appertaining to the Corps of Royal Engineers. The tours are good fun, entertaining and enjoyable so if you are interested in finding out more about FoREM Travel, or in attending one of their tours, please contact Vic Freeman at vicfree@btinternet.com.


FoREM Travel 2008
Exploring Turkey

  • Dates: 27 September - 10 October 2008
  • Tour agent: Leger Holidays
  • Travel details: London to Izmir and stay in Kusadasi to visit Ephesus, moving on via Troy to Gallipoli. Visit all of the battlefield sites and then travel to Istambul. Spend five days in Istambul visiting all the major sites including the Crimean War hospital in Scutari and one free day for personal exploration.

  • This trip is open to all, but FoREM members take precedence.
  • Price: £2199 per person based on two passengers sharing a twin room. Single room supplement £435.
  • Insurance extra: £45.00 pp (up to 70yrs of age), £59.00pp (70yrs and over) Gold Cover for the price of Standard Cover.
