 About FoREM
The
Friends of the Royal Engineers Museum (FoREM), was founded
in 1987 to provide support to the Royal Engineers Museum in
the following ways:
- By publicising the Museum and its activities.
- By assisting Museum staff, as guides, in research,
transcribing documents, in model making etc.
- In running local groups, to take the story of the
Royal Engineers and their Museum to a wider audience.
- By fundraising,
particularly for the acquisition of new exhibits and
conservation of items already held - see more on the
Development
Programme page.
- By assisting with the research and collation of
the Corps
Medal Rolls.
- By assisting to fund, and contribute to the contents
of, this web site.
- Sponsorship of the School War Poetry Competition.
