The Korean War (1950-53), was a war
between the partitioned states of North Korea (Korean People's Democratic
Republic) and South Korea (Republic of Korea) that were created
in 1947.

Dog Troop, 64 Field Park Squadron, in Korea.
There were 12 dogs in the Squadron, trained to find anti-personnel
mines buried just below the ground. Two of the dogs were named "Tell",
a German pedigree gun dog, and "Socks", a terrier crossed with a
Scottish collie. |

Life at the Front |
Men of 3 Troop, 55 Field Squadron RE . Other
than that they were given too much chicken in the rations, very
few men complained about the food in Korea. |
Gathering around the fire. A variety of uniform is shown here including the heavy woollen khaki jerseys. The British Army's first "woolly pulley" became the main talking point amongst the men and were said to be excellent. Also seen is the parkha and green bush hat.

were made for the fighting troops and crude "Hutchies" for support
